What you should know before submitting a dispute. |
|
|
| |
Initial disputes must be submitted online. You will be given an opportunity to explain your situation within the online form. The online dispute process makes it possible for an official on the campus where you received the ticket to read your explanation and make a determination. |

How to dispute at the first level and what to expect. |
 |
|
| |
- Click on the Dispute Ticket button.
- Search for your ticket using your ticket number or license plate (not both).
- The ticket information and current options will appear.
- The Pay Now option will appear if the ticket has not been paid and is still outstanding.
- The Dispute option will appear if you are still within the time guidelines to dispute your ticket (21 days from the date the ticket was issued or 14 days from the date on the mailed delinquent notice).
- The View Pictures option will appear if pictures were taken of the violation.
- Click on Dispute if you wish to dispute your ticket and fill out the required information on the Administrative Review form.
- Click Submit at the bottom of the screen.
- A confirmation page will appear. If the confirmation page does not appear, information on the Administrative Review form will need to be corrected before it will submit your dispute.
- Once submitted, an official on the campus where you received the ticket will review your information and make a determination.
- You will receive your determination results (via email) within 21 days from the date the dispute was submitted.
- Check your email settings to ensure the determination results do not go directly to your "junk" email.
- Keep in mind the reviewer has 21 days to make a determination.
- If more than 21 days have passed and you have not received a determination, contact PMB by calling
1-800-700-4417.
- To check on the status of your dispute, follow steps 1 – 3 above to view the current status of your parking ticket. If the status reads "Administrative Review" the dispute is pending a determination.
- If your ticket is reduced as a result of your appeal, you have only 21 days to pay the reduced amount. After 21 days, the fine will default to the original amount. The fine amount will increase further if the ticket goes unpaid.
